For the second consecutive year, we convened the Synthetic Biology community for an immersive day of cutting edge content, networking and riveting product exploration.
Positioned Ferment as the premier synthetic biology conference and showcase Ginkgo Bioworks and its partners as industry innovators by utilizing last year’s experience to uplevel partner integrations, community, and connection.
This year’s Ferment had detail in the DNA, complete with bioluminescent flowers, floral graphic motifs from modeled data points, medical testing machinery, and moments of surprise and delight for all attendees.

Gathered the Synthetic Biology community for a collaborative conference designed to deliver cutting edge content, rich networking experiences and immersive product exploration.
The inaugural conference sought to establish Ferment as the leading synthetic biology conference and highlight Ginkgo Bioworks and partners as innovators within the industry. The event was brought to life by transforming a raw warehouse into a “biotopic wonderland” boasting a best-in-class custom stage, inflatable experience domes, and multi-use networking spaces dressed in bold, bright colors against a modern, clean canvas.
